One black bomber jacket and all sorts of sporty chic vibes.
HEY! This is officially my first blog post since the launch, so I’m hoping you guys are liking the new website and content! Quick update: I’m so happy to see the results from my zero chill tees! We’re selling out quick, so be sure to get yours asap!
I’m getting ready for Coachella this weekend, and since I’m from the Midwest, this will be my first year at the ever-so-famous festival. I’M PUMPED! If you have any suggestions for me, please feel free to let me know as I’m pretty much a newbie :). ALSO, as someone who’s obsessed with putting together the perfect pieces for every outfit, you can imagine my anxiety for planning (mostly obsessing over) the best festival-inspired looks. Regardless, my white jeans I’m wearing in this will not be attending the event, as I am too terrified that they will get absolutely destroyed SO ripped jean shorts it is. Still on the hunt for the perfect kimono, so wish me luck shopping about 24 hours before go-time.
Onto the outfit: I’m wearing this oversized black bomber jacket that totally reminds me of those varsity jackets from high school. I never played a sport, so this is probably the closest to being athletic that I’ll ever be. The whole outfit plays off of black and white (shocker), so I tied in my favorite little backpack to compliment the look. I’ve actually been carrying my camera around in this bag, which has been a lifesaver for my shoulders. I will link some similar options below! I’m loving little backpacks, especially for travel.
To keep it monochromatic, I paired the black bomber jacket with white distressed denim by Rag & Bone (here) and these platform sandals by Kenneth Cole that I found on sale at a small boutique in Chicago. Again, I’ll link similar options. Platform sandals are my favorite way to get that chic look while still staying comfy. If you read about my last post, then you know I’m all about the comfort. I actually also got the white denim from Saks Off 5th, which is my absolute favorite place to find designer denim for an affordable price. These fit like a glove, and they’re so soft, which I prefer over that old-school stiff denim feeling. To top it off, my sunnies are from Brightside Eyewear (here), and I can’t rave about the quality enough. Besides the cool factor it’s giving me here (which is a total illusion), they’re super durable and looked great on all my friends, who have different face shapes!
To everyone going to Coachella this week, have fun, and I’ll see you there!
