Admitted: I will never have enough denim.
I have this weird thing where I always feel like I’m in need of new denim, so whenever I go shopping, it’s always the first thing I look for. Needless to say, there is hardly a scarcity of jeans and jackets in my closet at the moment. Whoops.
The one thing I genuinely was missing? The OG denim mini skirt. Guys I’m so happy this came back. I remember telling my mom when I was younger to get rid of my denim skirt because I was *so sure* I would never wear it again. Lesson learned: trends are always recycled.
The other denim trend I’m loving is embroidered denim. Therefore, this skirt by RES Denim brought back all the vintage vibes with star studs and embroidery. Fitting true to size, this mini felt super slimming and comfy to wear all day. I’m a big fan of soft denim, so highly recommend this brand for a comfy fit!
Apparently I’m all about the trends lately, so my roommate and I walked into Madewell and got lost in the neck scarves craze. Once again, I somehow found the last style in one of them, on sale. The good news is that Madewell now has a few on sale, so if you’re looking for a spin on chokers, I think the neck scarves add a perfect statement to any simple outfit. I went with the silk red bandana for this look and ended up walking around like an American flag for the rest of the day.
Onto shoes: they’re not embroidered denim, but they are metallic denim. I’m telling you, I have an obsession. I’m really loving the contrast between light and dark denim here with a pop of red. If you have any recommendations for embroidered denim anything, leave me a comment! Apparently I’m always on the lookout.
