Peace out, dry skin.
Also, peace out to my former skincare regimen because this one officially includes the best products for dry skin.
Back up: when I was younger, I was obsessed with makeup. I mean, seriously obsessed. Then I realized that makeup looks ten times better when you have healthy skin underneath, which is when my obsession switched gears to skincare. My skin is normal, but depending on the season, it can get super dry. I’m always on the lookout for moisturizing products, and I can confidently say I have found the best products for dry skin out there.
Long story short: Nyakio was launched at Ulta in March, and I decided to give it a shot. *One of the better decisions I’ve made in my life.*
The thing about Nyakio is that each product has a story behind it. After traveling and experiencing different beauty secrets across the world, this brand is a brilliant fusion of the best ingredients worldwide. I’m so happy with the products, and I truly am so confident in how well they work!
*NOTE: these products may appear used in photos, and it’s only because they’re truly well-loved ♡
Here are my top 3 products that you need ASAP for extra hydration.
Red Ginseng Soothing Eye + Lip Cream
I have seriously struggled so much with eye cream, especially this past year. My eyes can get really dry underneath and on my lid, so I always need something extra hydrating. The only thing that has truly worked for me before this was Kiehl’s, and honestly, I wasn’t expecting anything to top it. I was SO pleasantly surprised with this after the first use. Not only does it come with a good amount of product but it’s also super hydrating with a thicker consistency, which I prefer. I use it morning and night, every day!
Sweet Almond Cleansing Balm
I’ve been using baby oil to remove my makeup for years now, and if you’re on a budget, I definitely recommend using it as a substitute to cleansing balm. However, if you have a wider budget, this is the way to go. I think I end up using too much at once just because it smells that good. This product is super gentle and melts your makeup in seconds. Perfect for a spa night or washing off hard-to-remove makeup.
Maracuja + Yangu Soothing Oil
If you have oily skin, don’t shy away from this! Usually, your skin is working extra hard to produce oil, so using an oil right away can help stop your skin from overcompensating. I always make sure to use a face oil mixed with moisturizer before bed to wake up with healthy, dewy skin. This one is super light, so if you’re just starting out or nervous to try it, this is the product to test out first. You can mix a tiny bit with your nighttime moisturizer, and it’ll instantly help with hydration.
*Bonus Product: Chamomile Soothing Sleep Mask
I’ll keep it simple: smooth a light layer all over your face before bed. Wake up glowing. Bam, you’re like sleeping beauty…talk about best products for dry skin, this one takes the cake.
